| The Altos de Lircay National Reserve is also popularly known as “Vilches Protected Area” as well. The Altos de Lircay National Reserve consists of an area of 16,684 hectares. The park is located near the Maule region which is again 66km from Talca. This national reserve is known for its natural beauty and various archaeological sites as well.

How to Reach:
Once you reach Chile, and decide to visit the Altos de Lircay National Reserve, you can go by land as well a air. You have to first reach Talca from Santiago by land through route number 5. You can also reach Talca through San Clemente as well. After reaching Talca you need to go 30km further east and you will reach the national reserve.
Climate:
You can visit the Altos de Lircay National Reserve anytime all round the year. But the best seasons to visit this beautiful park will be autumn and spring. There are no camping or picnicking facilities offered here. Other than this fires are also not allowed here. Bringing pets is another thing which is not allowed here. The climate of Altos de Lircay National Reserve is known to be warm hot micro climate. The winter season is severe here. During the winter season the snowfall can go up to 60cm to 80cm.

Some of the important tourist attraction in Altos de Lircay National Reserve includes Radal 7 Tazas National Reserve. There are various activities which are you can go in and enjoy. Some of the major activities which you can take part in includes photography, observing the wildlife, horse riding, trekking, climbing as well as swimming.

Entrance Fee:
The admission or entrance fee for Altos de Lircay National Reserve is different for the adults and the children. For the children, the admission fee is CLP $500. The foreigners are charged CLP $1,000 which is same for the citizens of Chile.
