| The Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve shares its border with the region of Curico and Talca, spreading for an area of 5026 hectares. The Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve is a beautiful reserve, covering an area of 11,324.5 acres. The main attraction of this national reserve is the 7 waterfalls and their individual ‘cups’ or tazas, as they are more commonly known. The Claro River, a Molina river has created these cups by erosion and abrasion for millions and millions of years from slabs of basalt rock. This national reserve is featured by the vegetation transition from the drought-absorbent undergrowth of the north that of the damp forests of the south.

The south is adorned mountains thickly covered with cypresses and oak trees. Among the members of the animal kingdom, that live in this national reserve are birds, like the thrush and the tenca, animals, like puma and the colo-colo cat, the yaca and the monkey.
The Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve also bears some signs of old nomadic settlements of hunters and harvesters. There are remains of grinding stones that bear signs of the existence of settlements. The national reserve is one of the best destinations for kayakers, ready to navigate into the streams of the Claro River. The scenery of this pretty national reserve is predominated by forests of all types and colors consisting of oaks, hualos, coigues and nirres. The change of the leaf color during the various seasons as well as the color of the Claro River, lend a beautiful hue to the whole environment of the national reserve. The national reserve is also home to 22 cascades along the banks of the Claro River.
The Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve is an area protected by the state. While at the reserve you can also take part in activities like kayaking, camping, and mountain-biking.
