| General Description of the Tamango National Reserve: The Tamango National Reserve in Chile has been given as per its outstanding hills, the Tamango hills and the Tamanguito hills. These hills are among the most attractive destinations. The Tamango hills are 1722 meters above the sea level while the Tamanguito hills are situated at an altitude of 1485 meters. The Tamango National Reserve in Chile is the only home to the animal, the Huemul, which represents the national emblem of Chile. This reserve houses a collection of exquisite flora and fauna. The change of the leaf color during the various seasons as well as the color of the rivers and streams, lend a beautiful hue to the whole environment of the national reserve.

The various rocks and mountains lend a beautiful texture to the whole reserve. The national reserve also provides facilities of housing, food, transportation as well as camping.
Location of the Tamango National Reserve:
The Tamango National Reserve is situated at a distance of 10 kilometers on the northeastern part of the region of Cochrane and at a distance of 345 kilometers on the southeastern part of Coyhaique.

Accessibility:
The air route to reach the national reserve is through the Santiago-Coyhaique route or the smaller airport of Cochrane and the land route is through the Coyhaique-Cochrane austral route.
Time to Visit:
You can visit the national reserve any time of the year but the summers will be a better time to visit the Tamango National Reserve.
Climate:
The Tamango National Reserve usually experiences a cold weather, with an annual temperature of 9ºC. The reserve experiences an average of 600 to 4000 milimeters of rain every year.
The entry fee for adults is $1500 Chilean pesos and for children it is $ 300 Chilean pesos.
