| The Torca Lagoon National Reserve extends for an area of 1,328 acres. Two well demarcated sectors are allocated within this natural reserve. The first demarcated area belongs to the Torca Lagoon National Reserve, which is full of different varieties of birds, with more than a hundred species of fowls making it their home. The black-necked swan, Coscoroba, the white-feathered Grebe and the Coot are a few among these rare and splendid birds. The second demarcated area belongs to the Llico forest. This was forested again with a variety of plants so as to prevent the sand dunes from coming forward.

The variety of plants, that are available here has become its distinguishing feature. Apart from the types of plants the natural reserve is also home to a variety of birds and fishes, like the Liza, Pejerrey chileno, Argentino, Tench and Carp. The Coupu, Fox, and Quique are the most commonly found animals in the reserve.
The Central region houses the regions of Valparaíso, Libertador Gral. Bernardo O'Higgins, Maule as well as Metropolitan areas. The major part of the administrative, political and economic activity Chile is situated in this region. The Central region of Chile is blessed with a pleasant climate, that is favorable for the cultivation of wine and fruit. The Viña del Mar beach resort as well as the good ski points of South America are located in this region. You can visit the national reserve all the year round. There is no specific time fixed to visit the Torca Lagoon National Reserve. There are different routes to reach the national reserve either by road or otherwise.
The Lake Vichuquén, Llico, Iloca is the nearest tourist attraction near the Torca Lagoon National Reserve. While at the national reserve you can try your hand at activities, like trekking, wildlife observation as well as photography. The national reserve has a fixed entry fee for adults and children. It is $1000 Chilean Pesos for adults and $250 Chilean Pesos for children.
